Unlimited options

The various options within TimeWriter Pro offer unlimited possibilities. You can assign an unlimited number of roles to groups or individual users, and the number of custom fields for storing additional data in the database is also unlimited. Each booking can be viewed from up to five different perspectives, and the number of users can be expanded without limit.

… or on-premise with multiple users via a desktop- or webclient

With TimeWriter Pro, multiple users can access the database either via the desktop client or through the web client. In this setup, the database is hosted on a machine configured as an application server, so the clients do not communicate directly with the database. If you want to use the web client over the public internet, a firewall provision (open port) is required.

Minimum system requirements of this time tracking system

For TimeWriter Pro, the following minimum system requirements apply:

Network: A (corporate) network with one or more computers able to communicate via the TCP/IP protocol.

Server: Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, 2008, or 2012. For fewer than 100 users, a desktop version of Windows is sufficient; for more users, a server version of Windows is required. (This does not apply if you are using the cloud database.)

Client: Any version of Windows is supported. For Mac OSX, version 10.8 or higher is required. UNIX/Linux machines can only log hours and/or generate reports via the web browser.

    Renewals

    TimeWriter licenses are issued on an annual basis. Over two months before your license expires, you will automatically receive a reminder. If you do not respond to this reminder, we will renew your license in time, ensuring uninterrupted access to our software.

    After your license has expired, your data will remain accessible. You can still view your records, but you will no longer be able to add or modify entries. This way, you always retain access to your time tracking data, even without an active license.
